PRESS RELEASE
The Hanover Park Police Department will be hosting a COPS Day Picnic at East Harbor Park (Located at Wildwood Lane and Grosse Pointe Circle) on Wednesday, July 13th, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Entertainment at this year’s event includes music provided by The Mix 101.9 road crew, face painting, and weather permitting, a police vehicle and helicopter display. Also visit with our special guest, South Paw, the mascot for the Chicago White Sox. Many other family oriented activities will also be available. The Police Department’s canine, Ajax, will be in attendance and will conduct a canine demonstration. Free hot dogs and refreshments will be served at the picnic. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase a ticket and “dunk a cop” in the water dunk tank, as well as win one of four children’s bicycles, which will be raffled off at the picnic. The Police Department hosts these picnics to foster better relationships with members of the community and to encourage residents to get to know their neighbors, so please encourage all of your neighbors to get out and attend. In the event that severe weather causes cancellation of the picnic, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at the same time and location. Questions regarding the picnic should be directed to Lt. Hanold at 630-372-4472. _______________________________ You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to the Village of Hanover Park Mailing List.
