Hanover Park Releases Village Center Survey
The Village of Hanover Park has released a survey to gain public input on the development of a Village Center Plan for the area around the Metra station. All residents, businesses, and workers in the Village are invited to complete a short survey about the types of businesses, transportation, and housing they would like to see in Hanover Park. Local input is important to ensure that the area uniquely represents Hanover Park!
Surveys are available at www.surveymonkey.com/s/HanoverPark or on the Village website, www.hpil.org. Copies may also be picked up at the Municipal Building, local libraries, and Park District facilities.
As a part of the ongoing Village Center Plan, Hanover Park is developing plans for a mixed-use development southwest of the intersection of Lake Street and County Farm Road. The area will serve as a gathering spot, to include retail, restaurants, and housing. Multiple transportation options will converge in the area, including car, bus, bike, and pedestrian. Future westward extension of the Elgin-O’Hare expressway into a multi-access boulevard will provide opportunity for a sizeable business park to the south.
