Village of Hanover Park C.E.R.T. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program: A Federal Emergency Management Agency program that educates citizens about the hazards they face in their community and trains them in life saving skills. The citizens are trained to assist emergency services in disaster situations which would otherwise overwhelm emergency services, following a major disaster. Upon completion of the program, attendees are presented with a certificate.
