On November 17, 2011 three Hanover Park men were charged with one count of Home Invasion after entering a residence wearing masks and armed with weapons. Shane Smith 22, and Michael Hall 30, of 1244 Hialeah Lane, Hanover Park, and Francisco Esparza 24, of 1550 Beverly Circle, Hanover Park, were arrested after Hall drove Smith and Esparza to a residence in the 1600 block of Cooper Court, where Smith and Esparza, entered the residence through an unlocked door. Smith and Esparza then confronted two male occupants in a bedroom of the residence and began to hit them with their fists. The two occupants then fought with Smith and Esparza before both offenders fled the residence. Officers responding to the residence saw Smith and Esparza fleeing on foot and subsequently apprehended both. The two occupants suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident and did not request any medical assistance. Officers and investigators on the scene determined that Hall was also involved in the incident and was taken into custody at his residence a short time later. All three were transported to the Hanover Park Police Department, where each subsequently admitted their role in the matter. Chief David Webb stated that he would like to congratulate the efforts of the department personnel involved in this incident who brought it to a quick resolution with the arrests of the three offenders. The DuPage County States Attorney’s Office reviewed the matter and approved felony charges against all three offenders. All three offenders were then transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing on November 18th. Bond was set at $30,000.00 10% for each of the offenders. _______________________________ You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to the Village of Hanover Park Mailing List.
