County Farm Road Transit Service Study Open House

The Village of Hanover Park is hosting an Open House for the County Farm Road Transit Service Study on March 12, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in room 214 at the Village of Hanover Park Village Hall located at 2121 Lake Street.  The Open House will include an overview and discussion of the findings from the Draft Discovery and Diagnosis Report, and solicit needs and designs within the County Farm Road Corridor study area.  The corridor is centered on County Farm Road, from the Hanover Park Metra Station on the north, to the DuPage County Government Center on the south, and extends east to include portions of Gary Avenue.  

This study, funded by the Village of Hanover Park, with a grant from the RTA, included participation from Metra, Pace, the Village of Roselle, the Village of Carol Stream, the Village of Bloomingdale, the Village of Winfield, and the City of Wheaton.

Hanover Park Mayor Rod Craig stated “This study identifies a long missing component of public transit in our region, and the service would provide the residents and businesses in this portion of the County with a much needed transit option.”
