Village of Hanover Park Begins Hydrant Flushing in May

Starting Monday, April 30th through Friday, May 11th, the Village Water Division will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village.  The flushing will occur between the hours of 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  Signs will be posted in designated areas prior to flushing.

Residents should not wash laundry during the flushing hours as rust staining of clothing may result.  Residents with water softeners are encouraged to check the cycle time of their softeners so the unit does not regenerate during this period.

The schedule for hydrant flushing by area will be as follows:

Cook County

• April 30, May 1, 2 - South of Irving Park Road, north of Lake Street, west of Barrington Road
• May 3, 4 - South of Irving Park Road and east of Barrington Road, (Hanover Highlands and Longmeadows South Areas)
• May 7, 8, 9, 10 - North of Irving Park Road

DuPage County

• April 30, May 1, 2, 3 - South of DuPage County Line, North of Stearns Road
• May 4, 7 - South of Stearns Road, north of Schick Road
• May 8, 9, 10, 11 - South of Schick Road
