Electronics Recycling

Over the past year, the Village of Hanover Park has served as a collection location for electronic recycling through a program administered through DuPage County.  During this time, the Village has collected over 26,000 tons of various electronics.   However, the Village has been informed that due to new state laws, this program will no longer be in operation.  Therefore, as of January 1, 2010, the Village will no longer serve as a collection point and cannot accept electronics for recycling.  Staff is working to see if this program can be reinstated.

It is recommended that if you have electronics to be recycled, that you contact the business where the item was purchased for information.
