New Canine

Release date: Friday, April 16, 2010

The Hanover Park Police Department will be getting a new Canine and would like to solicit the public in naming the dog.  A 2-year old German Sheppard will be purchased and will attend a Canine Training Academy.  The Hanover Park Police Department will be soliciting all of the schools in the Village, as well as conducting an on-line survey to submit a name for the dog.  This will take place between Monday, April 16 and Thursday, April 29, 2010 for Hanover Park residents only.  After all the information is collected, a name will be chosen from the submissions. An announcement will be made on Friday, April 30th, which will include the name chosen for the new Canine and the identity of the individual who submitted it.  If you are interested in participating, you may go on-line to the Village of Hanover Park's website at www.hpil.org and click on the link for the Canine survey on the home page.  Once you complete the form, submit it and the name you selected for the Canine will be registered.  Residents that receive eAlerts from Hanover Park can also submit a name for the Canine.  An eAlert has been sent to all subscribers with a link to the Canine survey.
