Cop's Day Picnic

Every year on the second Wednesday in July, the Hanover Park Police Department hosts a Cop's Day Picnic.  This is an opportunity for the officer's of the Hanover Park Police Department to interact with the community in a friendly and fun filled atmosphere.  This event is a FREE event for the community.  Police command staff grill hot dogs for the public.  Drinks and snacks are provided as well.  There is a helicopter that lands, and in 2012 the event was attended by many masocots from the area including Southpaw from the Chicago White Sox, Coop from the Schaumburg Boomers, McGruff, NeighBear from State Farm Insurance, and Sarge from the Chicago Slaughter.  The Police Department raffles off bicycles and other donated goods.  This is also an opportunity for the community to dunk their favorite police officer!

Many organizations are in attendance and offer information of services that are available to the community.  This is a free event you must attend!
