Village Hall remains closed with many of our employees working from home. All Village committee and commission meeting have been canceled through May 1, 2020. Village Board meetings are being live-streamed through the Village Facebook page.
- Building permits are being processed through an on-line portal.
- The Finance Department is providing limited financial services in the lobby of the Hanover Park Police Department.
- Water shut offs have been temporarily suspended.
- Make online payments for water bills, parking violations/citations, purchase commuter parking permits, transfer stamps and other miscellaneous bills at www.hpil.org.

Restaurants are so important to who we are as a community! - Please support our restaurant owners and workers. This interactive map identifies Hanover Park restaurants and food providers offering specific modified services such as in-store pickup, curbside pickup, and delivery. The Village has allowed certain liquor license holders to sell take-out packages.

- The Village has waived permit fees for temporary banners – if content indicates how to order for pick-up/delivery. Applications can be made to the Inspectional Services Division at iservices@hpil.org. Contact Community and Economic Development for assistance at (630) 823-5780.
- Sandwich board signs are temporarily allowed-for specials, hours, delivery/pick-up methods, etc. Please ensure the signs are well-designed, not placed within the public right-of-way, and taken inside at the end of each business day.

- Payroll Protection Program (PPP) - The Chamber has produced a guide explaining the new emergency loans available for small businesses and 501(c)3 non-profits, known as the Paycheck Protection Program. Download a copy of the guide in English and Spanish.
- Guide to the Emergency Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) - The CARES Act expands the Small Business Administration’s long-standing Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL). The EIDL program was created to assist businesses, renters, and homeowners located in regions affected by declared disasters. Find out more. The Guide is found here.
- Employee Retention Tax Credit Program - The CARES Act also created a new employee retention tax credit for employers who are closed, partially closed, or experiencing significant revenue losses as a result of COVID-19. Find out more.

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19 so that employees can take necessary time to recover from COVID-19, or care for a loved one, without fear of losing their job and employers can help employees financially while navigating shutdowns.The Department of Labor administers and enforces the new law’s paid leave requirements. Provisions will apply from the effective date through December 31, 2020 and include paid sick leave, extended leave, and a payroll tax credit to reimburse employers. - United Way and the Association of Illinois Community Funds have created the Illinois COVID Response Fund (for nonprofit/community organizations serving vulnerable populations)
- The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) has put out a call for Illinois companies to help produce and supply critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): including N-95 masks, gloves, gowns, ventilators, sanitizer, etc. To help, see their website, https://ima-net.org/covid-19/.
- Serve Illinois (AmeriCorps) seeks donations of COVID-19 PPE to support our health care industry - Medical Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Donations
- The State, Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA), Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization (iBIO), and state-of-the art manufacturers have formed the Illinois Essential Taskforce partnership to ramp up efforts to study the virus and develop solutions to prevent, diagnose, and treat. Restaurant Employee Relief FundThe Restaurant Employee Relief Fund will distribute grants (on a first-come first-served basis, subject to availability of funds) to restaurant industry employees who demonstrate decrease in wages or loss of employment. 100% of the Fund’s proceeds will provide grants.
