Village of Hanover Park Covid-19 Business Assistance Program

To assist our small businesses during these extraordinary times, the Village of Hanover Park has created a COVID-19 Business Assistance Program to help our small businesses.

On May 27, 2020, the Village Hosted a Town Hall to present the program and answer questions.  A recording is available on the Village’s YouTube channel.  The Business Assistance Program has three components:

EXPANDED OUTDOOR DINING

Due to the social distancing requirements necessary to protect people from the COVID-19 pandemic, Hanover Park has expanded outdoor seating options to include areas such as parking lots.  Please see Food-Related Business Resources for more information, including detailed requirements and application information.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT AND ONLINE MARKETING

An online presence is essential, particularly under a Shelter in Place order.  The Village wants to make sure that all of our businesses, regardless of how small, are able to take advantage of a digital presence.  Businesses need to claim their Google profiles and have searchable landing pages to be visible.  At no cost to Hanover Park businesses, the Village will hire a consultant to build a landing page or basic website and claim a Google space in order to boost sales.  Apply online!  Please contact Community and Economic Development at (630) 823-5783 or CDevelopment@hpil.org if you have any questions.

FREE LOGO BRANDED SIGNAGE

The Village will provide free banners (3’ X 8’) and sandwich board signs (double sided) with Hanover Park and Restaurant logos.  Signs will be provided by ER2 Image Group, a Hanover Park based graphics company.  Businesses can include a business name, logo, hours, and carryout information.  Other information is subject to Village review. Apply online!  Please contact Community and Economic Development at (630) 823-5783 or CDevelopment@hpil.org if you have any questions.

Business Startup Storytelling - How to Create a Winning Pitch Deck

One of the major reasons small businesses fail is that they run out of cash. Securing new funding can frequently be time consuming and frustrating. A well designed pitch deck is one of the most powerful tools early stage entrepreneurs can develop to get potential investors, partners and suppliers to understand, care and take action.

This presentation explores the ten major components necessary to create a winning pitch deck. We'll review the key skills that need to be demonstrated and the questions that need to be answered for each component of the pitch deck. We'll also outline additional information that can help entrepreneurs achieve a variety of goals, from raising money to recruiting new partners and suppliers.
