Back to Business

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
                   – Martin Luther King, Jr.

As we help our children navigate their way back to a new way of learning at school, business owners are "re-imagining" business strategies - updating business plans, communicating safety to customers, ensuring employee safety, and using technology to minimize human contact.

The challenges of 2020 have forced change.  Business models are shifting daily and bringing innovation.  As this article from the World Economic Forum discusses, we are learning how adaptable and innovative we can and must be.  Internet presence, contactless payment, sanitation measures, and constant updating of customer lists are a must as businesses create virtual points of contact and special events to stay in touch.  The challenge is to provide the product, services, and experiences your customers want.

Next Level Northwest Success Story - Country Style Donuts

Country Style Donuts hires two new employees and projects 23% growth

Satisfy your sweet tooth with fresh baked, hand-cut donuts, or enjoy ice cream, milk shakes, and breakfast sandwiches at Country Style Donuts in Hanover Park!  Manan Joshi, the company’s founder, with the help of coach Sybil Ege and the Next Level Northwest (NLNW) Business Accelerator Program, has grown in 2020.

When the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in shelter-in-place requirements that limited how Country Style Donuts could operate, the company was able to leverage strategies they had developed during their NLNW engagement to stay engaged with the community and to expand.

Phase 4
Illinois Recovery Plan

New Statewide Guidelines for Masks

Each bar and restaurant customer is to wear a mask whenever interacting with staff. This means wearing a mask while ordering, receiving table service, and when picking up food for carry-out.

We are currently in Phase 4 of the State recovery plan which breaks the State into 11 regions.  The State monitors indicators which potentially signify a resurgence in the spread of the virus.  Hanover Park falls into 2 regions - the Cook County portion of our Village is in Region 10 and the DuPage County portion is in Region 8
