Brush Pickup Map

July Brush Pickup

The Brush Pickup Program provides free curbside pickup and chipping of branches, which are then reused as mulch. Last year, the program produced 1,765 cubic yards of mulch which was made available free to Village residents for use around shrubs and flower beds. Brush is picked up in April, July, and October.

Brush pickup for Area 1 & 2 begins July 12th. Area 3 & 4 begins July 26th.

The following resources provide further information about scheduled brush pickup in your area:

2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update

Construction progress continued this week with the Village's Resurfacing Program.  Concrete curb and gutter work along with sidewalks at intersections were removed and replaced to meet current ADA requirements.  Storm sewer inlet improvements will also be taking place during this time.  Crews are currently working north of Irving Park Road and will be making their way south in the coming week(s).

A reminder to residents that access to their street and driveways will remain during the construction progress, however minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.

Variants for the Virus that Causes COVID-19

Viruses constantly change through mutation, and new variants of a virus are expected to occur. If you think about a virus like a tree growing and branching out, each branch on the tree is slightly different than the others.

CDC is monitoring multiple variants of the virus that causes COVID-19, including four in the United States that seem to spread more easily than others. So far, studies suggest that current authorized vaccines work on these variants. Everyone ages 12 and older should get a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible.
