Movie in the Park- Raya & The Last Dragon

Be sure to bring your family and friends with lawn chairs and a blanket to attend our Movie in the Park. Games and activities start at 8:00 p.m. with the movie kicking off at dusk. Snacks and refreshments for sale.       

2021 Resurfacing & Water Main Project

The 2021 Resurfacing & Water Main Project is anticipated to begin in early September. For resurfacing, streets are selected based on their current condition, which is below the ideal minimum level of service, but not past the point where it would require complete reconstruction.

The standard milling and resurfacing project is a cost effective remedy to bring the pavement back to a good condition. This project includes approximately 1.70 miles of streets.

**Water Main Improvements 

The scope of this project will include removal and replacement of the asphalt surface, spot drainage improvements including curb & gutter removal & replacement, ADA sidewalk curb ramp improvements, and various pavement markings installation. Additionally, water main replacement is proposed on Maplewood Avenue. Notices to impacted residents will be delivered during construction. Residents are also encouraged to contact the Public Works Department at 630-823-5700 for specific information about the project.

2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update- Week 9

Paving this week concluded on phase one of the resurfacing program.  Streets north of Irving Park and those with schools have been completed!  Work continues on phase two of the project with additional sidewalk and curb replacement.   

Face Masks Required in Village Indoor Facilities in Public Areas

The Village of Hanover Park is requiring all visitors and employees to wear a face mask inside Village facilities in public indoor areas. Employees must also wear a mask when not able to socially distance within indoor work areas. Masks will be made available for the public at reception areas of all buildings if needed.

The CDC released an update recommending that all people in areas of Substantial or High transmission wear face masks in public indoor settings. The Village of Hanover Park is adopting this recommendation while also maintaining consistency with Cook and DuPage Counties.
