Hispanic Heritage Month

The Village of Hanover Park celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. Mayor Craig proclaimed the month of September 15, 2021 through October 15, 2021 as Hispanic Heritage Month in the Village of Hanover Park to honor the members of Hanover Park's Hispanic Community during this special observance.

The observation of Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1968 and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to span a 30-day period, The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum all join in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society, and who have inspired others to achieve success.

11th Annual Household Recycling Event: Hanover Park Recycles!

The Hanover Park Environmental Committee will be hosting their Household Recycling Event from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Metra Commuter Lot located at the intersection of Lake Street and Church Street.

2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update

The Village’s 2021 Resurfacing Project has reached another milestone this week!  The project is now 95% complete with only two streets left for resurfacing.  Pavement markings (stop bars at stop signs, bike lanes & centerline) will be finished in the coming weeks once the two remaining streets are completed. Additionally, in the coming week(s) residents will notice construction signs being picked up, debris removal and final sweeping of streets. 

As always residents will have access to their street and driveways during the construction progress, however minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.
