Trick or Treat Hours 3pm to 7pm

Trick or Treat Hours in Hanover Park are Monday, October 31st from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Please be aware that children will be out during that time, and if driving, pay extra close attention. 

PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY. Most residential streets within the Village are posted 20mph zones.

Commuter Lot Parking Permits

Parking Permits for the Commuter Parking Lot are available through the Finance Department. Application forms are available in our office. Monthly permits are $35. An Annual Pass may be purchased for $385 (discounted by one month if purchased from Oct 1 through January 31st).

Daily Metered parking is also available. The $1.75 fee must be deposited in one of the meters located on the west wall of the commuter station. You are responsible for entering the correct space number.  Failure to enter the correct parking space # may result in a Parking Citation being issued.

Metra riders may also pay for daily parking through our newly implemented smartphone application. Users can get started by downloading the free Passport Parking app for iOS or Android devices. Hanover Park's Zone # 60133.

Fall Leaf Collection & Yard Waste

Autumn is the signal that summer is over and that means an abundance of leaves everywhere. As a benefit to the residents of Hanover Park, leaf collection in the month of November only will not require a yard waste sticker to be collected by Groot Industries. All you have to do is rake your leaves, put them into a recyclable yard waste bag, and set them at the curb on your normal trash pick-up day. The loose-leaf collection is for LEAVES ONLY. Any pile containing grass clippings or other yard material will NOT BE COLLECTED.

The Village would like to give a friendly reminder to all of our residents. Leaves cannot be blown or disposed of into Village streets or raked into the parkways. This debris could cause stormwater drains to clog if leaves are blocking the inlets. Piles of leaves can also freeze once temperatures drop and become a hazard for drivers.

All yard waste pick up is offered until November 26, 2022. After this date, yard waste pick up will not resume until spring. If you have any questions, please contact Groot Industries at 866.782.5161 or the Public Works Department at 630.823.5700.
