Yard Waste Sticker Not Needed for November’s Leaves
It is that time of the year again. The leaves on trees are turning that beautiful color and then falling to the ground. The Village would like to give a friendly reminder to all our residents. Leaves cannot be blown or disposed of into Village streets or raked into the parkways. This debris could cause stormwater to back up if leaves are blocking the storm sewers. As a benefit to the residents of Hanover Park, leaf collection in November will not require a yard waste sticker to be collected by Groot Industries. This is during the month of NOVEMBER ONLY and is for LEAVES ONLY. All you must do is rake your leaves, put them into a yard waste bag, and set them at the curb on your normal trash pick-up day.
All yard waste pick-up is offered until November 25, 2023. After this date, yard waste pick-up will not resume until spring. If you have any questions, please contact Groot Industries at 866.782.5161 or the Public Works Department at 630.823.5700.
