Independence Day Holiday

Village Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Enjoy the holiday and please celebrate safety. Please be respectful of your neighbors.

Garbage & recycling pickup will be delayed one day, to Saturday, July 6, due to the holiday.

The Village Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 4th has been canceled.

Mayor Craig Inaugurated as President of the Northwest Municipal Conference 

Hanover Park Mayor Rod Craig was inaugurated as the 2024-2025 Northwest Municipal Conference (NWMC) President on Wednesday, June 26. Mayor Craig is the organization’s 66th President and fourth from the Village of Hanover Park.

HPFD Partners with the Alignment Collaborative for Education on First Responder Internship

This summer, ten high school students from school districts U-46, 300, and 301 had the opportunity to participate in the First Responder Internship offered by the Bartlett Police Department, Hanover Park Fire Department, and Hanover Township Emergency Services. This internship allows students to explore all aspects of this career pathway as it gives them a chance to get a feel for what it would be like to work in jobs such as criminal justice, emergency response, fire safety, forensic science, healthcare, and public safety.

Construction  Updates

2024 Resurfacing Project Update: 

TThe contractor completed concrete removals and replacements on Tiburon Court and then began concrete removals and replacements on Wildwood Ln. Next week the contractor will place the final layer of asphalt on the north side streets (Hickory St, Burr Oak St, Sycamore Ave, Magnolia St, and Walnut Ave). They will also continue concrete removals and replacements on Wildwood Ln. Residents who will lose driveway access due to the concrete removal will be notified before that starts.
