Fall Fun Fest Featuring Flavors of Hanover Park is Tomorrow!

Fall is almost here! Join the Hanover Park Park District tomorrow from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Community Park. There will be plenty of family-friendly activities, including hayrides, face painting, crafts, and games. Check out some live music and eat delicious food at the Flavors of Hanover Park, which will showcase dishes from local restaurants! We hope to see you there! 

Use of Electronic Bicycles in Hanover Park

The Village of Hanover Park has adopted regulations to ensure the safe and responsible use of electric bicycles (e-bikes) and similar devices within the community. Visit our FAQ section on the Police Department's webpage for more information.

2025 Watermain Replacement Update: This week, the contractor completed installing the new watermain on Chatsworth Ct and Charleston Ct and began the required testing and chlorination process. They continue to transfer water services from the old to the new main. Residents will receive a notification on their door prior to their service being transferred. 

Fiber Installation (AT&T): AT&T has a number of fiber installation projects throughout the Village. Any questions or concerns about these projects should be directed to AT&T’s Construction Hotline at 800-843-6581. If you leave your name, address, and phone number, they will follow up within 48 hours. 

Arlington Drive Bridge Replacement Update: Last week, the contractor poured the culvert base slab and northern wing wall foundations. This week, once the concrete had cured, they started framing for the culvert walls. Next week, the ironworkers will begin setting the steel for the walls. 

2025 Annual Hydrant Flushing 

Due to workload, the hydrant flushing scheduling has been updated. The Public Works Department will conduct the annual flushing of fire hydrants throughout the Village through Tuesday, September 16^th between the hours of 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM. 

Hydrant flushing is vital to the routine maintenance of the Village’s water system. It improves water quality and flow, lubricates the hydrant's internal mechanisms, and helps identify any deficiencies to ensure that the hydrant performs when needed for an emergency.

Please do not wash laundry during the flushing hours as rust staining of clothing may occur. Residents with water softeners are encouraged to check the cycle time of their softeners, so that the unit does not generate during this period.

New Carts Coming This Fall! 

Groot Industries will be providing residents with new trash and recycling carts in October! Stay tuned for further updates on our Village website and Facebook page, including a delivery schedule and map. 

Save the Date - Fire Department Open House on October 4th

Join us on October 4th at the annual Fire Department open house from 100:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Fire House #15, 6850 Barrington Rd. See how a fire station operates and participate in fire safety activities! Check out the fire fighting equipment/tools, learn "hands only" CPR, and interact with our awesome Hanover Park firefighters!

A live fire demonstration will be held at 12:00 PM.

Save the Date - Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on October 10th

Join the Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! The event will be held on Friday, October 10th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hanover Park Park District's Dance Room A, 1919 Walnut Avenue.

Enjoy performances by folkloric dance groups & sample diverse Hispanic cuisine and treats! Guests are invited to wear their finest heritage attire.
