Fall Night with Laser Lights Coming Soon!

The Village is excited to announce the previously canceled Summer Soiree laser light show has been rescheduled! Join the Village and the Park District on October 24th at 7:30 PM for a Fall Night with Laser Lights. 

The laser light show will be held at the Park District's Community Center during their annual Trunk or Treat event. Food trucks will be on-site during the event.  

All are welcome to enjoy the fun of a light show, treats, and disco beats! 

New Carts Coming This October

Next month, Groot Industries will provide residents with new trash and recycling carts. The replacement schedule is anticipated to be released next week. Residents will receive notification from Groot Industries with specific instructions for their replacement date. Once received, the Village-wide delivery schedule with maps will be posted on the Village's website and Facebook page. 

S'mores & More Community Bonfire Night - September 27

The Hanover Park Park District is excited to host a community bonfire night on Saturday, September 27th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This event will be held at the Hanover Park Sports Complex at 1200 Sycamore Ave.

2025 Watermain Replacement Update: This week, the contractor completed the required testing and chlorination process for the final section of the new main. The Village is waiting for the IEPA's approval of the operating permit for that section. Additionally, the contractor has begun switching water services to the new main in the section for which the IEPA has already issued the operating permit. Next week, they will continue transferring water services from the old main to the new one. Residents will receive a notification on their door before their service is transferred.

Fiber Installation (AT&T): AT&T has several fiber installation projects throughout the Village. Any questions or concerns about these projects should be directed to AT&T’s Construction Hotline at 800-843-6581. If you leave your name, address, and phone number, they will follow up within 48 hours. 

Arlington Drive Bridge Replacement Update: This week, the contractor finished framing and poured the concrete for the walls. Next week, once the concrete has cured, the framing on the walls will be removed. The contractor will then begin preparing to construct the top deck, which will take several weeks of installing scaffolding and framing. 

Fire Department Open House -

October 4th

Join us on October 4th at the annual Fire Department open house from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at Fire House #15, 6850 Barrington Rd. See how a fire station operates and participate in fire safety activities! Check out the firefighting equipment/tools, learn "hands only" CPR, and interact with our awesome Hanover Park firefighters!

A live fire demonstration will be held at 12:00PM.

Use of Electronic Bicycles in Hanover Park

The Village of Hanover Park has adopted regulations to ensure the safe and responsible use of electric bicycles (e-bikes) and similar devices within the community. Visit our FAQ section on the Police Department's webpage for more information.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration - October 10th

Join the Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! The event will be held on Friday, October 10th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hanover Park Park District's Dance Room A, 1919 Walnut Avenue.

Enjoy performances by folkloric dance groups & sample diverse Hispanic cuisine and treats! Guests are invited to wear their finest heritage attire.
