Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The U.S. percentage of population with Irish ancestry is 10.1%. The Village wishes all of you a happy and safe St. Patrick's Day celebration.  

• Make sure your guests designate a sober driver in advance or help arrange ride-sharing with sober drivers.
• Serve plenty of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Download a ride-sharing app on your phone to help partygoers, and keep phone numbers for local cab companies handy.
• Take keys away from anyone who is trying to drive impaired. 
• Remember, you can be held liable if someone you serve is involved in an impaired driving crash.

• Designate a sober driver ahead of time, and give that person your keys.
• If you don’t have a designated driver, call a cab, use ride-sharing, have a sober friend or family member pick you up, or stay where you are and sleep it off.
• Never let a friend leave your sight if you think they’re about to drive impaired.
• Buckle up – it’s your best defense in a crash. 

Hanover Park Is Dedicated to a Complete Count In 2020!

The 2020 Census is quickly approaching and the Village of Hanover Park is making preparations to get the most accurate census count as possible. Having inaccurate and low count census information is very problematic and can greatly affect state and federal funding to local municipalities. 

The hiring of hundreds of thousands of temporary workers for the 2020 Census, often described as the nations's largest civilian mobilization, is now underway. Local jobs are availlable. Work and help to bring a complete count to Hanover Park. Apply now!

MLK Build Day- Volunteer Today!

Continue Martin Luther King Jr's legacy of volunteerism on April 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. by working with fellow citizens to clean up, build up and improve Hanover Park. Volunteers are needed! 

The Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee have teamed up with DuPage Habitat for Humanity for this project. The day will start with a check-in, safety talk, and explanation of the volunteer assignments for the morning and will end with a community barbecue in the afternoon. Volunteers must register with Jennifer Taff from DuPage Habitat for Humanity by phone at 630-510-3737 x 305 or by e-mail at jtaff@dupagehabitat.org. 

Breakfast with the Bunny

The Township of Schaumburg Disability Services Department invites children with disabilities and their families to meet the Easter Bunny on April 6th from 9:30-11:30 am at One Illinois Boulevard, Hoffman Estates.

The FREE event is open to Township residents only and
breakfast will be served. Come meet the Bunny without the wait! Registration is required with the disability department at 847-884-0030. If a sign language interpreter is needed, three weeks’ notice is required. Space is limited. Residents new to our events must complete a registration form to attend.
