Youth of the Year Scholarship Program

The Village of Hanover Park is seeking candidates for the 2019-2020 Michael H. Coleman Youth of the Year Award / Scholarship. This award positively reinforces the outstanding qualities of our young people and publicly acknowledges their efforts.

To qualify, the student must be a resident in the Village of Hanover Park, a member of the graduating class of 2020 and plan to continue their education at a community college, technical school, or university after graduation. The Youth of the Year will be selected and presented with an award and $1,000 scholarship at the Village Awards Night to be held January, 2020. This year, the Village is also offering four $500 scholarships to the runner-ups.
 
We encourage you to consider any high school senior living in Hanover Park who would be an appropriate candidate for this award and ask him/her to complete the application, which can be found on our website here. Applications for the 2019-2020 Hanover Park Youth of the Year will be accepted until December 6, 2019. Like a Hanover Park business or their service?

Nominate your favorite business for the 2019 Business of the Year Award.  This award honors contributions made by Hanover Park businesses benefiting the community.

All residents and businesses are encouraged to nominate outstanding local businesses.  Nominated business must be in Hanover Park and will be judged in several categories such as:

• Community Involvement

• Excellence in Customer Service

• Positive Image and Appearance 

 
Deadline for receiving nominations is Friday, November 30^th. The Village’s Economic Development Committee Members will evaluate nominations to determine the winners. You can nominate businesses in two categories:  Small businesses with up to 50 employees, and larger businesses with more than 50 employees.  Winning businesses will receive an award at the 2019 Village Awards Presentation, and will be featured on the Village Facebook Page and the Hi-Lighter Newsletter.

GO GREEN! SIGN UP FOR E-BILLING

The Village utilizes InfoSend mailing services to mail the water bills to residents and businesses of Hanover Park. InfoSend now offers an electronic bill that can be emailed to you in lieu of a paper bill. This service helps to conserve the environment by reducing waste. Below is more information and a link to sign up for the service.

What is E-Billing?

• E-Billing sends a notification to your email address that your account has been billed.
• E-Billing saves the environment by reducing paper waste.
• Once you sign up for e-billing you will only receive the e-bill by email.

• Complete the online e-billing sign up form.

• The e-bill contains all the important information that is on your current bill.
• The e-bill also contains a link to our online system where you can get more detailed information about your current and previous bills.

The 2020 Census counts every person living in the United States and five U.S. territories. Each home will receive an invitation to respond to a short questionnaire—online, by phone, or by mail.
