The Village of Hanover Park maintains three Metra parking lots with a combined 832 spaces. Parking lots are located on Lake Street, Ontarioville Road and Liberty Street. Parking regulations are enforced Monday through Saturday, 24 hours a day. Daily Fee parking is only available at the Lake Street and Ontarioville Road parking lots. The current daily fee rate is $1.75.

We're excited to announce enhancements to the parking system at Hanover Park Station, aimed at providing a smoother and more streamlined parking experience for our commuters. Please review the details below to learn about what these enhancements entail and how they may affect your parking routine.
Adjustments to Parking Pass System
- End of Monthly and Annual Passes: To simplify our parking offerings, the sale of Monthly and Annual Passes will be discontinued after May 2024. This adjustment allows us to focus on a more flexible daily parking system that accommodates everyone’s needs.
Introduction of Pay-by-Plate Parking
- New Pay-by-Plate System: Starting June 1, 2024, we’re transitioning to a Pay-by-Plate system to make parking easier and more efficient. Simply enter your vehicle's license plate number at any of our new payment kiosks or via the designated online payment portal to pay for your parking.
Parking Fee and Operation Hours
- Daily Parking Fee: The daily parking fee will remain at $1.75 per vehicle, ensuring no increase from the current daily rate.
- 24/7 Access: The parking facility will continue to operate around the clock, offering free parking on Sundays to accommodate various schedules and needs.
Parking Guidelines Reminder
To ensure a pleasant parking experience for all, please remember:
- No parking in designated no-parking zones.
- Your vehicle's license plate must face the drive aisle to comply with the Pay-by-Plate system requirements.
- ALWAYS SAVE YOUR PARKING RECEIPT!
Daily fee users can pay at the pay stations located at the west end of the train depot, pay online, or download the Passport Parking Application from the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you do not have a smartphone or internet connection, but want to pay for a daily fee by phone, dial 630-581-2445.
Beginning the first Monday of December, the Village will be closing portions of the Commuter Lots for the remainder of the winter. Opening date for the lots subject to weather.
