Water Utility Assistance Fund Policy

The Village provides financial assistance for water utility bills to eligible low-income households, who have exhausted all other assistance options available through their Township. To confirm which Township you reside in, please utilize the community portal on the Village's Maps webpage.

Eligibility:

• Must reside within the Village and be specifically listed on the water utility bill
• Must meet LIHEAP or other similarly approved program guidelines as a low-income household
• Must have exhausted all assistance options available through their Township

Application Process:

Residents who have exhausted all assistance options available through their Township can be referred to the Village for use of the Water Utility Assistance Fund. The Village will require proof of low-income status and that the applicant has already received assistance available from the Township. 

Assistance Amount:

This fund provides up to $100 in assistance per year to eligible households. Additional assistance may be considered, contingent upon available fund resources and approval from the Finance Director.
