Red Light Cameras

Each year, too many families are destroyed by intersection crashes caused by running red lights. Sadly, the victims are often occupants of other vehicles and sometimes even pedestrians who happen to be in the intersection. Protecting our community is the number one objective of the Village of Hanover Park. We are pleased to announce the implementation of red light cameras within the Village. This new state-of-the-art system is designed to help us encourage safer driving habits.

Program Overview

Our first and foremost intention with this program is that it can help us save lives. Our police officers can’t enforce traffic laws everywhere, all the time. But by utilizing these cameras it will help us keep our intersections safer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The entire system is funded by the violators.
