The Village of Village of Hanover Park is one of 16 communities in the region selected to participate in the first cohort of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Program, facilitated by the Metropolitan Mayor’s Caucus and ComEd. Cohort members will receive free technical assistance and training in a variety of critical areas as they work toward the designation of being an EV Ready Community. Funded in part with a $225,000 commitment from ComEd, the EV Readiness program will help municipalities streamline policies, meet the growing demand for EVs and charging infrastructure, and implement best practices for safe and effective regional transportation electrification. "EV Ready Community” designation is expected by the end of 2023.
