Graffiti in Hanover Park
The Village’s graffiti program helps create a clean and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors to the community by encouraging the maintenance of property. The program was established to provide residents with an easy and efficient method of reporting and removing graffiti.
The Village of Hanover Park offers a graffiti removal program. In many instances, the program will remove the graffiti free of charge and is offered to such places as public buildings, parks, schools, and private properties.
Prior to removal consideration, the property is subject to an assessment and a waiver must be signed. The waiver authorizes Village Staff to enter the property and complete the graffiti removal process.
Key Points of the Graffiti Policy:
- No Graffiti Allowed: Graffiti is strictly prohibited on all properties within the Village limits.
- Reporting Graffiti: Residents are encouraged to report any graffiti sightings by calling the Village’s graffiti hotline at (630) 823-5705.
- Removal Responsibility: Property owners are responsible for the prompt removal of graffiti on their property within 7 days.
